History

In 1905, Léon Sentenac, a Toulouse figure and grand-father of the current owners established the « wine bar » called « Aux caves du Père Léon » (« cellars of Father Léon »). More than a century later, the wine bar left place to a “brasserie”, entirely refurbished in 2012, with the atmosphere and the subtle assembly of modernism and family tradition...This gives this establishment the status of a Real Local Institution.

Bottle racks, filled with uncountable bottles of alcohol (bicentenaries for some) were carefully protected during the duration of the works, in order to preserve their coat of dust, slowly accumulated over the years. For some customers, coming from all over the world, “Le Père Léon” is a place of “pilgrimage”, THE place you must go to when visiting Toulouse.

The restaurant is open every day (except Sunday) for lunch only and offers only fresh and local products. The dishes are carefully elaborated. Every day at lunchtime and for less than 16€, you can choose between 2 options: “starter & main course” or “main course & dessert”. This is a nice way for you to taste the sophisticated and genuine “cuisine".

Whether you decide to seat in the air conditioned dining room (upstairs) or on the beautiful terrace under the trees’ shadow, you will be able to appreciate, for a drink or a meal, an unforgettable moment, always under the kindness of Léon’s eyes...
